Two summers ago, I got to work on an organic farm with Kat. She is one of the wisest women I know- poured so much love and light into my life that summer and I’ll never forget it. When she asked me to be her doula and birth photographer- I was over the moon. Her braveness and perseverance in the rest of her life played through during her labour and birth- as she so strongly brought her baby girl earth-side.
This was the very first birth I was honoured to witness- and the most beautiful first birth a young doula could ask for.
Baby Hannah is over a year old now, and she’s a lively, happy girl. I don’t get to see the Saxtons near as often as I’d like- but I think of them fondly, often, and am so proud of them and their family.
Without further -and much belated- ado- here they are. Thank you, Kat, Dan, and Hannah.
